The City of Puyallup provides the following incentives for affordable housing:
- Density bonus in MX Mixed-Use Zones: PMC 20.31.021
- Parking reduction in MX Mixed-Use Zones: PMC 20.31.021
- Off-street parking stall bonus in MX Mixed-Use Zone: PMC 20.31.031
- 12-year MFTE in MX Mixed-Use Zones: PMC 3.70
- Height bonus in MX Mixed-Use Zones: PMC 20.31.028
The City of Puyallup provides these other incentives for development:

- Area-wide SEPA approval for planned actions in the Downtown subarea
- Density bonus options in RM Multifamily Residential Zones (PMC 20.25) and MX Mixed-Use Zones (PMC 20.31)
