RFP Released: Frederickson South Affordable Homeownership Opportunity

October 30, 2025

The Pierce County Community Development Corporation (PCCDC) seeks a qualified development partner for a new affordable housing project.

The Request for Proposal (RFP) seeks to ensure the construction of a minimum of twenty (20) affordable single-family homes for sale to households earning at or below 80% of Area Median Income (AMI). As a part of this RFP the South Sound Housing Affordability Partners have pre-committed $966,000 for capital construction on this site.

The 4.22-acre site, located in the Frederickson area, was acquired from the Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) specifically to support affordable housing development.

The selected developer will be responsible for delivering affordable homes along with all necessary infrastructure improvements. While PCCDC has completed key feasibility studies, the partner will manage entitlement, permitting, financing, and coordination with all stakeholders through final sale and occupancy.

Applications must be submitted by 4:30 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2026, to Champagne Lewis via email.
